It cleanses the whole body and builds up resistance to colds, providing new energy and vitality. For the whole family. For friends and relations. Sven Sauna - the ideal programme for recovery from day-to-day stress. What you need to know before selecting and installing your sauna! A sauna can be positioned anywhere where the heater has a guaranteed supply of fresh air and the used air in the sauna can be expelled. In order to provide all the amenities connected with the sauna, it is also advisable to have a shower and rest area in the vicinity. If you are considering undertaking building work, the architect should be informed of your intentions from the very outset so that the incorporation of a shower and rest area can be included in the plans. The sauna heater requires a constant supply of fresh air which it can obtain from the adjoining room. The used air is then discharged by way of a special air extraction element which is located diagonally opposite from the heater. The floor in the sauna room should be as even as possible. The best floor coverings are tiles or PVC floor coverings which are easy to clean. Your Sven sauna is supplied complete with cabling. The only connection to be made is the connection to the mains which should be undertaken by a qualified electrician. The power supply should be located in the sauna area and for this a single or three-phase current of 240/415v is required. See the sauna heaters section for further details. When selecting your sauna, please bear in mind that the space requirement for assembly is approx. 10cm larger than the external dimensions specified for the sauna. A sauna must be practical and for this reason, the bottom and centre bench can be moved to facilitate cleaning. The benches are positioned on stable cross supports which are bolted to the frame construction of the cabin. The sauna benches are manufactured from Abachi, which is a smooth African softwood which does not splinter and is free of knots and also scarcely conducts heat. The head rests are manufactured from the same material so that it is pleasantly "cool" to lean against them. The SVEN Construction. Our long experience and the number of systems we have supplied are a guarantee for the excellent quality of our saunas. We will manufacture the sauna you desire to the actual dimensions required or you can select a cabin from our standard range. Individual manufacture under sloping ceilings, in niches, or corner locations presents no problem and will not spoil the fun of a sauna in any way. We will plan your sauna with you and advise you as to the design of the adjoining room. The Sven sauna is manufactured with a solid spruce base construction. The inside of the cabin is either produced from spruce, hemlock or red cedar in a special 14mm sauna softline clagging with an extra long tongue and groove design. The outside walls are panelled with finely-knotted spruce, hemlock or red cedar. Sides which are visible may be panelled in any material. We can design the external cladding in other woods at your request, to suit an existing wall or ceiling covering. The completely pre-fabricated wall and roof elements consist of a plugged base frame which is lined on both sides. The cavity is then filled with durable high-grade insulation. A layer of aluminium foil acts as a steam barrier preventing steam penetration. The elements are connected with brackets and the tongue and groove construction so that no heat loss occurs. After the ceiling has been assembled, the cabin walls and ceiling are bolted together with corner cover strips. This construction enables the entire cabin to be completely sealed, so valuable energy is saved by preventing temperature loss and low operating costs are maintained. The sauna stands on a bolted chassis in which a polythene strip is fitted to seal the floor. The chassis stands on plastic-coated adjustable feet which can be altered to counteract differences in height of + 2.5cm. Moreover, the wood does not come into direct contact with the floor and water damage is therefore excluded. Our saunas are all supplied complete with the necessary heat resisting silicon cabling for the lamp, heater and control mechanism. The sauna door window and frames are made of Abachi wood with a double-glazed window, and closed with a spring operated door catch guaranteeing easy access. |
